Liverpool Al-Rahma Mosque

The Al-Rahma mosque is on Hatherley Street, Liverpool , England , and can hold up to 1,000 worshippers.

Liverpool was the first city to have a Mosque in England, which was opened at 8 Brougham Terrace by city solicitor and Muslim convert William Abdullah Quilliam on December 25 , 1889 .

The present Mosque was built in the 1960's having recent extentions to accomidate more worshippers. During fridays and Muslim festivals the Pakistan centre opposite and the car park are also used as temporary prayer space.
