Best kept festival secret in UK ... Africa Oye. Free, easy central location, great music and a brilliant weekend weather wise. I've been covering this festival for ArenaPAL since 2006 and it has opened up loads of doors for me as a photographer. I've built up a massive collection of world music artists, talked to people from all around the planet and been invited to cover loads of other gigs, events and festivals off the back of it. I'm featuring loads from 2014 on my Liverpool photographer Tumblr blog, so if you want to see more head over via the jump. Loads of images on there, both recent and from my archive. Click on 'Festivals' on the left hand menu.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch to licence any of these images directly from me. Or if you are planning a world music event in the UK / Europe give me a shout and if I am available I'd love to come along and do some photography.

"I have employed David many times over the years, principally as a music conference and high profile event photographer. He is always easy to work with, has a strong sense of what style is needed for each project and brings back results on deadline. He is skilled, experienced and understands visual language and lighting. Additionally, David often helps secure additional PR and media coverage."
