A look back at a music festival I covered in the summer. Boomtown is a relatively new event, based in Hampshire at the Matterley Bowl and featured some big names from the reggae and dance scenes. Probably the main reason I covered this festival was the appearance of Jamaican reggae legend Tanya Stephens. It was her first major UK festival and she absolutely rocked The Lion’s Den, headling the event on Friday evening. The rest of the weekend was equally good - loads of great punk / ska / reggae bands, millions of DJs and a completely crazy up for it crowd. Imagine the late night elements of Glastonbury going off and doing their own mini-festival and you have a good idea of the crazyness !
As ever, please don't rip my images - contact me for usage and commercial licencing. Thanks !

Sad to hear Jamaican reggae pioneer Frederick Nathaniel "Toots" Hibbert has died at the age of 77. The legendary musician fronted the reggae and ska band Toots & the Maytals from the early 1960s. Read more...
"I have employed David for conferences, presentations, social engagements, marketing materials, open days, portrait shots, official document signings amongst many others. David has always been amenable to our sometimes short notice and has delivered our photos in a quick time frame as agreed and sometimes much quicker depending on our needs. He has always been very helpful, he follows and delivers on the brief and is able to give additional value to jobs with minimal briefs. I am more than happy to recommend David and he will no doubt deliver the same quality he provides us."
