LIMF has grown from ashes of the Mathew Street Music Festival, developing the city’s biggest music event into an "international showpiece". Moving last year from the city centre to the green of Sefton Park was definitely a sound idea and seems to have shaken off the tag of the "Beatles Festival" which has to be a good thing. Now in its second year, I decided to work at it and concentrated on the 'Emerging' stage to capture some great international bands and artists. A lot of the other Liverpool photographers were elsewhere covering the main stage and to be honest, most of the crowd stayed away from the Emerging stage, which was a real shame. However those that stayed were treated to some amazing performances.
Highlights for me included Kate Tempest, Kobi Onyame, Jesse Bowkins III and Inc. The weather turned fairly wet on Monday and fortunately the stage moved indoors to the Palm House - which was a good move. It will be interesting to see what they do next year. But until then a few of my favourites. As ever please contact me directly to use / licence.

"The photos were great – they were exactly what we were after in terms of capturing the networking, the high profile speakers, the Awards winners and also the fun of the Awards dinner. It was great to have such an involved photographer at the event capturing as much as possible and we would be very happy to use you again"
