Lend With Care - giving small loans to entrepreneurs in low-income countries

Published on Mon Mar 3, 2025 by

I've been using Lend With Care for a while - it is a microfinance lending website from CARE International UK. It allows individuals and groups to make small loans to entrepreneurs in low-income countries, helping them improve their lives through business

This week I've loaned money to a farmer in the Philippines so she can buy new equipment - to read more about her business and story - https://lendwithcare.org/loans/83395.

The below referral links gives you £15 credit to lend to someone.

More information about Necitas and her business from the Lend With Care site

Necitas has been engaged in the restaurant business for almost 8 years. Her income from this does not compensate for their daily needs because her daughter is still studying; that's why she had an interest in a livelihood project, which is swine raising.

Necitas has 13 head of piglets; her nephew is the one who assisted her with taking care of the piglets, and they make sure their animals are safe and healthy by strictly following the required biosecurity procedures on her farm. As a result of her hard work, she now makes around £350 per quarter.

As a member of our local development partner, FCCT Cooperative, for 7 years, Necitas has requested a loan to buy kitchenware for her restaurant, piglets, and premium supplies for the swine fattening operation.

Necitas's commitment to progress and sustainability is evidenced by her aspiration to expand the number of piglets she raises for her swine fattening business. Her future livelihood will be productive and secure due to this type of contribution. Her success inspires others to become members of the cooperative besides benefiting her own family.

At present, Necitas owns 13 piglets, with her nephew assisting her in caring for them. They ensure their animals are safe and healthy by strictly adhering to biosecurity procedures on her farm. Thanks to their hard work, she now earns around £360 per quarter.
