Wow 12 months roll around quickly. It doesn't seem 5 minutes ago that I was dashing between fringe events and public relations photo shoots. But here we again in the run up to another Labour Party Conference in Liverpool in 2025.
In 2024 I worked with 38 Degrees - a British not-for-profit political-activism organisation, at Royal Liver Building, The Strand and Anfield, LFC Stadium. Also a cross-party think tank called Palace Yard - where the topic was superconductive circuits for next generation computers. They brought together industry and academic experts to speak to a group of MPs at a fringe event discussion panel. And then a couple of public relations events - one with Vodafone and an interesting and fun half day with the League Against Cruel Sports, which included a giant fox greeting conference delegates !
The Labour Conference is one of the largest political gatherings in Europe, with last years Conference having over 17,000 attendees. So a great boost to the hospitality sector for the city and reinforces its role as a leading conference and event host destination in the UK. The main Annual Conference venues are the ACC Liverpool, Exhibition Centre Liverpool (ECL) and the Pullman Hotel.
In addition to the main programme, there is a large and varied fringe program of meetings , taking place in venues around the city, covering topics on all policy areas. Fringe events take place throughout the day, and run late into the evening following main hall closing. I've worked in most venues across the city, so if you are organising something, I am more than happy to help with local knowledge and advice. And obviously come and take some fire photographs of your event !
I hold comprehensive professional photographers indemnity & public liability insurance. So we are both covered if a visitor trips on my camera bag, or some other accident !
And of course, I have loads of experience working with trade unions, including the RMT, Unison and Unite, as well as with the TUC on a visit to Liverpool to the Landrover / Jaguar plant. I have worked with Royal visits to Merseyside and at the G7 Summit in Liverpool for the Australian Government.
I have been a photographer member of the NUJ - The National Union of Journalists - since 2010 and hold a current UK Press Card. I am based in Wavertree, central Liverpool and work across Merseyside and the North West of England. Ideally placed for jobs and commissions at the forthcoming Labour Party Annual Conference 2025 in Liverpool taking place between Sunday 28 and Wednesday 1st October 2025.
I am listed on the NUJ Freelance Directory as a North West freelance photographer. So obviously if you have something coming up at Conference or beyond, that needs a NUJ UK Press card carrying, experienced professional photographer, get in touch.
It is usually a busy time for me, I have had a lot of inquiries and already a few firm bookings, so hurry and drop me a message and lets talk.

There is something uniquely rewarding about photographing people in spaces where they feel confident, professional, and proud. That’s exactly the atmosphere I stepped into during a recent commission at a newly opened dental surgery — a sleek, modern practice blending cutting-edge care with a warm, welcoming environment..

Another busy couple of weeks on commission with repeat and regular clients photographing conferences. This time multi-day events in Manchester and London. Including evening drinks receptions and President's Dinners.
