The restaurant is split over several rooms including an outside terrace. Unfortunately not great weather - April showers. The refurbishment included replacing all the bars, flooring, furniture and lighting creating a much more vibrant and colourful space.
This project had many elements of the job that I enjoy. Looking for the best angles and highlighting the dining space in the best possible light for trade and local press. Others images I imagine for longer term usage - websites, social media and future brochures - so some close-ups, some arty shots. Many businesses have been slow to fully embrace social media - DJC Design included. But for many who are now beginning to get up to speed, they soon realise it is a big challenge to keep content fresh. Even posting just 3 images per week, that is 150 photographs a year - so that is quantity - don't forget the QUALITY !
DJC Design is an architectural, interior, and construction photographer based in Liverpool operating mainly across Merseyside, Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, North Wales and covering nationwide and internationally when required.

As I always say, Africa Oye is my favourite festival and probably the nearest, being about 15 minutes walk from my home. Slightly delayed, is the 30th anniversary of the festival a few weeks ago.
Back on the blog with a quick update on recent business and commercial photography commissions. Working with a housing association, a bike charity, a medical society, a recruitment agency and a dental practice.
A really interesting commission working with Livv Housing documenting a fire and rescue exercise in high-rise residential apartments in Kirkby. These are the people who will literally save your life!
"The photos were great, they were exactly what we were after in terms of capturing the networking, the high profile speakers, the Awards winners and also the fun of the Awards dinner. It was great to have such an involved photographer at the event capturing as much as possible and we would be very happy to use you again"
