Well, as we are almost ready to close the door on another year, I thought I would recap some of my favorite images, commissions, and techniques that I learned in 2016.
January kicked off with a commission for some interior photography for Liverpool John Moores University. They had just finished refurbishing some engineering labs and needed some quality images for their many publications. It went really well as the new spaces enjoyed lots of natural daylight and being brand new, it was clean and free from clutter, meaning we could start photographing straight away.

Also early in the year I worked with an existing client who runs an innovate club for golfers, allowing them discounts on green fees across the region. They needed a re-brand for their website, a new logo and an update of pages and backend member areas.

Return business is essential to most organisations, so it was great to get a call from Liverpool Electronics, to return to their factory on the Wirral to take more images of their products. Their business is centred around printed circuit boards, so I used macro lenses and various coloured lightboxes to capture a new range of items.

I always spend quite a bit of time working in the property sector - this year completed several commissions for Barratts, the house builders and quite a few for various construction product companies. A selection below.

Continued working with some leading PR agencies to secure fantastic, on time photos, which ensured some great coverage for their clients. All sorts of different businesses, from bars, to machine hire firms, charity work and trade unions - always really interesting and exciting ! And of course, always busy with people photography, from head and shoulders images through to more CEO editorial work. I'm happy working in natural available light but usually have the mobile studio in the boot of the car. If you are looking for a top quality business portrait photographer in Liverpool check the portfolio.

Finally, covered a number of big business events and conferences - always great to work on longer projects with an event team. Personal highlight was a day spent outdoors with a paintball company.

Many thanks for looking - best wishes for 2017 !

Having an efficient digital workflow is something that most professional photographers aspire to. Why? Well at the end of the day, getting images processed and delivered quickly to clients is super important.
Tips on what you should wear for a head and shoulders photo session for business people, professional actors, actresses, musicians, singers, writers and presenters. Practical and sensible advice.
