Back when I shot the below image I was a recent convert - while I had been aware of his music - I was persuaded to see him at Glastonbury a month earlier that year. A super hot Sunday afternoon spent with friends watching Neil Diamond, Goldfrapp and then Leonard on the Pyramid - and I quickly became a fan. So covering the Big Chill Festival a few weeks later, he was high on my list of priorities, both to photograph and enjoy. The below image was my favourite and I've got an A3 print of it hanging in my hallway. If would like to licence editorial usage please contact me as soon as possible. RIP Leonard.

As I always say, Africa Oye is my favourite festival and probably the nearest, being about 15 minutes walk from my home. Slightly delayed, is the 30th anniversary of the festival a few weeks ago.
Back on the blog with a quick update on recent business and commercial photography commissions. Working with a housing association, a bike charity, a medical society, a recruitment agency and a dental practice.
A really interesting commission working with Livv Housing documenting a fire and rescue exercise in high-rise residential apartments in Kirkby. These are the people who will literally save your life!
"I have employed David for conferences, presentations, social engagements, marketing materials, open days, portrait shots, official document signings amongst many others. David has always been amenable to our sometimes short notice and has delivered our photos in a quick time frame as agreed and sometimes much quicker depending on our needs. He has always been very helpful, he follows and delivers on the brief and is able to give additional value to jobs with minimal briefs. I am more than happy to recommend David and he will no doubt deliver the same quality he provides us."
