It is close to that time of year when the sporting world looks towards Liverpool and the famous horse race meeting at Aintree for the the Grand National meet 2025 on 3-5 April - with the big race being on Saturday the 5th of April.
I have worked before on many commissions at the Aintree Racecourse, over the years. A lot connected to well known names in horse racing - for example The Racing Post, Paddy Power and lots of random commissions for various PR organisations with events connected to the meetings.
One of the most interesting was a couple of years ago for Arena, one of the world's biggest temporary structure providers, who got in touch for some location photography at Aintree. They built 100 pieces of temporary event infrastructure to Aintree Racecourse for the Grand National Festival. These include The Jockey Club’s double-decker Amberleigh House hospitality facility, and the Owners and Trainers Pavilions. As well as grandstands and all of the public areas including the Red Rum Garden, the bars at the Embankment viewing area, and the Moet & Chandon pavilion - read more on my blog post Aintree interiors photography commission
And also quite a few times for commercial organisations using their excellent conference and function facilities, to entertain guests and VIPS.
So if you are planning something over the National week - either at Aintree itself, or generally in Liverpool and need an experienced, professional photographer, I am your guy. Get touch asap as it is a super busy time for me and I do get booked up weeks in advance - call me on 07810321634

American vibraphonist, record producer and composer Roy Ayers has passed away aged 85 - RIP. I was lucky enough to see him perform three times. I raided the archive for some live images at Womad in 2009
"Just wanted to drop you a line to say thank-you so much for the brilliant job you did for us in Bootle barracks the other week - we hit the Echo and also the Plymouth Daily (where we have an interest in veterans services) so we were dead chuffed. Excellent Public Relations / Press style photography."
