2017 proved to be another busy year here at DJC Design, I've done quite a bit of travelling, won some fab new clients and had a heap of really interesting commissions. Obviously I am not going to list everything - but below are a few of my favourites that hopefully demonstrates the range of photography I undertake. With 2018 just around the corner, I'm always searching for interesting collaborations and new challenges, so if you have something in mind, give me a call and we can hook up over coffee and discuss.
Some repeat business from a Merseyside based manufacturer. I had worked with them before on a large construction project, documenting installation of one of their products. The images were used extensively in brochures and in the trade press. So I was excited when they called to commission me to take images inside their factory and put some life into their processes. It was quite challenging, with loads of different light sources and obviously I couldn't go everywhere in the plant, due to health and safety. But really interesting and created some good images to include within case-studies.
As usual, lots of business type events. Capacity: The Public Services Lab commissioned me to cover their launch and has subsquently booked me for 6 other jobs in 2017 - which has been great. They work with and support loads of other community and social based groups in Merseyside and it was great visiting and working with some of their partners.
Quite a few photoshoots and projects with housing providers, from community events to key hand overs.Â
Really nice PR commission by retail brand Costa Coffee, for their Barista of the Year competition.
Of course, lots and lots of business portraits - my mobile studio saw quite a few motorways and miles this year - locations included Southport, Manchester, Leeds, Chorley in Lancashire and of course, nearer to home here in Liverpool.
Lots of work this year from Liverpool John Moores University.
I worked with a start-up therapy business - producing their website, as well as the photography for the site.
Possibly the most technically challenging commission came from a Bradford based digital screen provider. They install large LED displays to many high street retailers and wanted multi-location coverage of night scenes. So quite a bit of post-production here, getting everything spot on for their advertising needs.
Finally a few from a large business events award evening with Tesco and Travelex - loads of fun throughout the day and dinner later on.
Many thanks for making it this far. Have a fantastic seasonal break and a Happy New Year !

"The photos were great, they were exactly what we were after in terms of capturing the networking, the high profile speakers, the Awards winners and also the fun of the Gala dinner. It was great to have such an involved and professional photographer at our event capturing as much as possible and we would be very happy to use you again"
